 WHAT IS THE R.C.I.A.?

The R.C.I.A. stands for the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. It is the process by which adults seek to learn more about the Catholic Church and possibly, to seek membership in the Catholic Church through the reception of the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, & Eucharist.

WHO MAY JOIN R.C.I.A.?

The RCIA is a program of instruction for adults who:

• are interested in learning more about the Catholic faith;
• may not have completed the reception of the Sacraments of Initiation, i.e., First Holy Eucharist and Confirmation;
• those baptized in another Christian faith tradition who would like to become Catholic;
• were never baptized but would like to become Catholic.

WHAT HAPPENS IN R.C.I.A.?

Persons in the RCIA meet weekly for sessions on a particular theme or teaching of the Catholic Church.

WHEN ARE R.C.I.A. Sessions Held?

R.C.I.A. Sessions will be held on Wednesday Evenings (6:00-8:30pm) beginning in mid-June.
