Saint Andrew Garden Committee has reopened the Brick Sale for this spring. Bricks commemorating First Communion, first day of school, weddings, family members, etc. create the brick pathway in front of Saint Andrew School. If you would like to be remembered or to remember someone and support Saint Andrew Parish at the same time, please see the Church bulletin for further information or call 773-525-3016.

We will meet at 7pm in the Parish House dining room on Wednesday, April 16th. Please join us!

Welcome to Saint Andrew

Fr. FarryDear Parishioners of Saint Andrew,

Our parish campus was built over a sixty year span through the dedication of parishioners and the administrative direction of four pastors. Fifty-five years and three pastors later, Saint Andrew Parish continues to provide for the spiritual, educational and social needs of over 1200 families from Lakeview and surrounding communities. Our predecessors built the parish and now it is our responsibility to maintain both the ministries and the facilities they left behind.
Saint Andrew has conducted numerous campaigns in recent years and the generosity of our parishioners continues to humble those of us in ministry.  The Sharing Christ’s Gifts Campaign was phenomenally successful.  In addition to painting the Church, it allowed us to complete many much needed repairs and upgrades to facilities. The Annual Catholic Appeal over the last two years has provided almost $35,000 in funds for Saint Andrew Parish capital improvements. We have already raised over $95,000 on our way to the $140,000 goal to replace all of the windows in the school.
In addition to maintaining the ministries and facilities of our own parish, we are also reminded that we are members of a larger community, the Archdiocese of Chicago. The Annual Catholic Appeal is part of our identity as Church. The way we commit ourselves to the diocese is a sign of faith that we are part of a much larger Church. The Annual Catholic Appeal is important to the ministry of the Archdiocese because it allows us to bring the light of Christ to many in need. Each gift allows us, as individual parishioners, to support the ministries that reach far beyond our parish boundaries.
As you review the work enabled by your contribution to The Annual Catholic Appeal, please reflect on God’s gifts to you. God has given you all that you have. Your gifts to our parish, to the Archdiocese and to the work of the Church throughout the world should be given in gratitude for the continuing gifts that God gives you.

All funds raised beyond the Archdiocesan goal for Saint Andrew Parish ($28,000) will be returned to Saint Andrew Parish. While you are supporting the Archdiocese, you are also supporting the ministries and upkeep of Saint Andrew. The Window Replacement Campaign is the current priority for improving our facilities, but it is just one of many improvements that we hope, as a parish to accomplish.

Please be generous in your giving and be assured that your gift will bring light to many who otherwise would remain in darkness.
Simply put, "it is our turn."
Peace,

Reverend John A. Farry
