Eucharistic Ministers

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion assist the priest during distribution of Holy Communion at Mass. The priest is called the 'Ordinary Minister' and lay ministers are called 'Extraordinary.' This is simply to differentiate that they are not priests.
