Facilities
Saint Andrew Parish consists of seven major buildings between Hermitage and Marshfield on Addison Street. The church, whose entrance faces Paulina, sits on the southwest corner of Addison and Paulina and is attached, on the west, to the building which houses the Chapel, auditorium and social hall. Both these buildings are attached, by way of a garage, to the rectory. The gymnasium and the parking lot sit on the northeast side of Addison and Paulina, separated by an apartment building. The School Annex is on the northwest side of Addison and Paulina right next to the main school building. The main three storey school building is attached to the old convent building which houses administrative offices, the music room and the art studio. [See campus maps attached.]
The Facilities Committee has been instrumental in directing Parish Administration in the use of the Sharing Christ’s Gifts Campaign funds to make necessary repairs and improvements to the Church, school, gymnasium, and chapel buildings. The Facilities Committee is responsible for reviewing bids of contractors for major projects and for prioritizing the many projects needed to maintain the many assets of Saint Andrew Campus. The Garden Committee has worked diligently to beautify the grounds, adding seasonal plants and flowers with a touch of green and color to the majestic buildings surrounding the buildings that constitute Saint Andrew Campus. Families are also given the opportunity to “buy a brick” as a family legacy for the patio in front of the school building. |
