Tuition Rates and a letter from the Pastor and Principal went home with oldest/only and by email. Please make sure that you read them as there are some important changes and save them for future reference. Financial Assistance: Families who are in need of financial assistance must apply through FACTS. A $25 fee must accompany your application (checks should be made out to FACTS Grant and Aid). Applications are available from Mrs. Minnecci, or online at www.FACTStutionaid.com. The deadline for financial assistance applications to be received by FACTS is March 19th. That's Entertainment VII - Our very own Bulldog Band and Encore Jr. will feature their musical review "ARF" tomorrow, evening at 6:30PM. Please come and support our Performing Arts and enjoy an evening of music and fun with our students. We have sent home the "Pink" re-registration materials for the 2010-2011 school year. These materials went home with the oldest and/or only student in grades JK-7th.
The Early Bird special deadline has expired. The rate now for your child/ren will be $400.00 per child.
Current students K thru 7th grade only needed to return the pink registration form with the registration fee, by the due date.
Transitions, PreK and Kindergarten Registration - The Admissions Process for all Transitions classes, PreK and Kindergarten has begun (as stated in previous Parent Memos and school letters sent out in January).
This process is separate from the pink registration form that went home in January for grade school student registration.
Please send in your application/registration as soon as possible if you are intending to register your child for Transitions, PreK and/or Kindergarten for the 2010/2011 school year.
Parents, we have an array of school uniform pieces, jackets, gloves and lunch boxes in our lost and found in the front office. If your child has lost any of these items, please stop in the school office and check our lost and found. After this month all of these items will be donated to the Salvation Army and to the Used Uniform Sale.
Lunch Forms for May & June will be going home on March 24th, usually we send the forms out on the first Wednesday of the previous month, but because of Easter break they will be going home a week early. Please return all absentee requests with May/June lunch order form, since it is the last one for this school year. Any questions call me at 773-230-6343 or email kathypucci@saintandrewchicago.com. Parents if your child becomes ill with an infectious illness such as "pink eye", strep throat or lice, you must contact the school office within 24 hours of the diagnosis to let us know. You must follow the doctor's guidelines as to how long you have to keep your child home. For lice infestation you must follow the instructions of the treatment that you choose to use an/or the doctor's guidelines. In the event of lice, the student's hair will be inspected by the school nurse prior to the student returning to class.
There has been a lot of sicknesses going around school. Please talk with your child about NOT sharing food, drink and proper hand cleaning hygiene. These simple words could mean the difference between missed days and a healthy rest of the school year.

You may still order a copy of the school yearbook. All orders must be in no later than March 31, 2010. The cost is $25.00 each. They will be delivered the first week of June. Forms are available in the school office.
Local Author Sean Callahan, who was part of our Barnes and Noble book fair and has come to our school and read his books to our K-5 students, will be doing readings and book signings at these locations on these dates: Saturday, March 13th at 11AM at Barnes and Noble on 1441 W. Webster Place Tuesday, March 16th at 6:15PM at the Sulzer Library on 4455 N. Lincoln Ave. Rainbows Celebrate "Me Day" - Monday, March 15th in the extended day classroom from 11:00-12:00. Please return the permission slip that was sent home so your child will be able to participate at this fun celebration. Spring Plant Sale - Help the Class of 2010 go to Washington, buy an Easter Lily or Azalea plant. Yellow order forms wet home last week. There are extras in the school office. The dealine for orders is Monday, March 22, 2010. Room Parent Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 16th at 7:00p.m. It will be held in the basement of the Rectory. This is a great way to earn your volunteer hours. Children's Garage Sale - Start Saving items to donate for our 1st ever Children's Garage Sale. Cleaning out your closets or toy boxes? Save items to donate. All proceeds benefit the "Fill the Cup" project. The sale will take place on May 22, 2010 in the gym.
Scholastic Book Fair - A great big THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this year's Scholastic Book Fair a huge success! Because of the teachers, parents and students who took the time to shop with us, we raised over $5,000 for our Literacy Center and our reading program. In addition, our teachers will share $1,300 worth of books of their choice and Fr. Mathias will receive a check to be used to build the library at our sister school, Saint Andrew, Uganda. And a very special thanks to our chairpersons, Marit McCausland, Crissy Schwarz, Tina Woods, Sharon Jones and Mr. Dan Bergstrom for all of his hard work. Wearin' the Green - Thank you to all who attended the event. A special thank you goes to the chairpersons and to all the volunteers whose hard work made this event a great success! Parents, please do not double-park your car during the afternoon pick-up. It creates a frustrating and dangerous situation for others. Feel free to park in our lot east of the gym if street parking is unavailable.
This is the final week they will be available, if you didn't get a chance to order your favorite Girl Scout cookies, no worries. Just email your order to me, Kelly Prince at troop329@rcn.com, mention your girl scout friend's name and she will get credit for your order. We have thin mints, samoas, do-si-dos, tagalongs, trefoils, lemon, dulce de leche and our newest cookie Thank U Berry Munch (cranberry and white chocolate chips). They are $4.00/box and I will send your order thru the school office or you can pick them up. |
