Capital Campaign Update May 2017

Enrich, Expand, Grow: A Campaign for Our Church, Our School, Our Faith

Dear Saint Andrew families:
Thank you for your support of the Saint Andrew Capital Campaign. Our campaign, Enrich, Expand, Grow continues its growth with pledges from new families and additional gifts from existing families. This is a very exciting time for the Saint Andrew community so please continue to help support this on-going campaign.

The pledges are being fulfilled by regular monthly payments and $741,876 has already been contributed by our generous donors in the Saint Andrew community. This is an amazing accomplishment as 31% of our goal has been achieved. As you have read, we are moving forward with the new lighting in the Church and have contracted with a lighting designer. We have begun the bidding process for installation.

I’m hopeful that our campaign will reach its completion and all pledges will be fulfilled. Though we understand a little falling behind happens now and then, we presently have close to half a million or $433,950 in past due or unpaid pledges. I know these pledges were given in good faith and that some conditions must have arisen to keep families from fulfilling their promise at the very start. In order to complete the Enrich, Expand, Grow projects, we will need the fulfillment of each and every pledge which will:

  1. Help us to strengthen our church with replacement of church lighting, repair of our beautiful stained glass windows and installation of a new boiler for the church and rectory
  2. Allow us to add 4 new classrooms to our main school building and introduce a green space next to the school
  3. Support our call to stewardship and allow us to share our blessings with the Archdiocese of Chicago’s To Teach Who Christ Is campaign

Thank you for playing a special part in helping us address the needs of our church and school. We ask that you please continue your payments. Please contact Julie Richards ( in the parish office if you have any questions or need to make any adjustments.

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Rev. Sergio Romo
