What is a Parish Mission? –

Parish Missions are opportunities for parishes to band together and be renewed spiritually. Think of them as “retreats for the busy lives of parishioners.” With work and family obligations, it isn’t always easy to “get away” for spiritual renewal, that is why highly sought after Catholic speakers come to parishes to give three nights of reflection that fit int your schedule. And as a special feature, one of our guest speakers is the author of this year’s book for One Book One Parish – Joe Paprocki! (Read more below)

We’re Making it Easy for You –

We have very busy lives, and you might ask how you are going to get emails finished, dinner cooked, and the kids put to bed if you come to a hour and a half evening event for three nights in a row.

First off – come as you are able. If you can make all three nights? Great! If not come as often as you can.

Secondly – There is an optional simple dinner available for you to come straight from work. For a nominal donation, you relax and not have to worry about meal preparation or clean up.

Third – There is a children’s program for the Mission as well that kids can be part of. They’ll be watching movies that reinforce the themes that will be shared by the speakers. On the way home you can share with each other what you both learned and how it can impact your family. An added bonus for St. Andrew School students is that there is no homework that week. Testing is being done during school hours and as a family, you’ll still be home by 8:00 PM.

Finally – We need your presence. This year’s theme is built around building a stronger community in our parishes, we can’t do that without you. So make the time for yourself and your community so that we can strengthen each other together. We’ll look forward to seeing you there!
