One Book One Parish 2018

Saint Andrew Parish is participating in One Book One Parish for the year 2018. We’ve have the blessing of being able to gift every family with a copy of Michael Leach’s book “Positively Catholic.” Pick up your free copy in the church and participate in our tradition of reading one book together this year. Then join in the conversations…

In each book, we have provided a book mark with each chapter on the book mark listed out. We recommend picking your favorite chapters first and then marking it on your bookmark until you’ve read all the chapters. You don’t have to read the book in the order.

We’re proud that the author of this year’s book, Michael Leach, is coming to speak at our Parish Mission on Sunday, April 15, Monday, April 16, and Tuesday, April 17.

Not only is Michael Leach a bestselling Catholic author, he is also a former parishioner of Saint Andrew having grown up in the neighborhood.

Michael Leach, dubbed “the dean of Catholic book publishing” by U.S. Catholic, recently received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Catholic Book Publishers Association. He is the author or editor of seven books, including the best seller I like Being Catholic.

Michael Leach is well-known in Catholic book publishing. Within a 30 year span, Michael has been past president and publisher of the Crossroad/Continuum Publishing Group. He has also served as president of the Catholic Book Publishers Association. He is currently executive director at Orbis Books.

Michael Leach’s recent book “Why Stay Catholic?” discusses Catholic questions, Catholic answers, and provides reasons to be Catholic. The book allows the reader to experience joy, hope, peace, and re-assurance. Michael lives in Greenwich, Connecticut.
